Won’t you be my Valentine?

You know, it wasn’t that long ago that I made Amanda recoil in horror and giggle in fear after telling her Hollywood crush that she liked him. Well, actually firstly I directed a twitter message to him THEN I emailed him to point out said tweet. He’s a sod though, and didn’t reply. Sod you, Matthew Gray Gubler.

So it’s with some trepidation that I’m revealing to you, my loyal and lovely fans (hi Dad!) that I have developed a small large crush on this chappy here.

Mmmmm…

Isn’t he yummy? In a very public school la-di-dah type way, he reminds me very much of my peers at the very posh boarding school in Edinburgh I attended many moons ago. His name is Valentine Warner and he’s currently starring in the BBC’s programme What to eat now. (UK readers can watch it on iPlayer here)

He describes himself as “greedy by nature” which I can relate to. And he makes AMAZING food. Have I mentioned the public school poshness? He’s a very hyperactive bunny too, just like me! It’s amazing. Plus he has a wonky nose. I have a wonky nose. It’s fate!

Bob is unimpressed. What say you?

You’re a brave woman, there’s no way I’d publically admit to my unusual crushes. Not that any of mine are unusual, you understand.

I was totally put off by him when I started watching the first series of What to Eat Now, but I have to say, this series he’s really grown on me, and may now have overtaken Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall as my ‘posh boy chef’ crush!

    You’re not alone!

I think he’s wonderful (my son thinks he’s pretentious!!) His food is brilliant and I love his great greedy pleasure eating it – much better than Nigella’s simpering at the camera! (and he inspired my free food post last week)

I congratulate you on your fine choice of crush. I think one should only have crushes on the slightly ridiculous, and he is that!
    I love his show too!

Sorry, I don’t approve… But I’ll still find out his phone number and inundate him with calls telling him all about you. It’s only fair :)
