Let me tell you, friends. I know that Guy Fawkes’ night is a night that divides opinions but I absolutely love it. It’s the one night of the year I can always remember doing something as a family when I was younger because we’d all go to a fireworks display and I LOVE fireworks.
Last year we were really lucky because on November 5th, Celtic were playing a Champions League game at home so Glasgow City Council moved the display to the next night. That meant that we could go to a different display on the 5th AND still get to go to our big display at Glasgow Green the next night! Bonanza!
This year we only got to one display and we picked our usual at Glasgow Green. I have to be honest and maybe I’m just getting older but it didn’t inspire the WOW factor the way they used to. Is it an age thing? On the plus side, Nairn was much happier than last year when both he and Erica lay sobbing in the buggy. Erica wasn’t too happy at first but lay in the pram holding my hand and was quite happy by the time they were all finished.

Uncle ‘Big Sexy’ apparently being serenaded by Sam

Bob and Erica with Findlay (and his Dad whose head I managed to cut off. Sorry Alan!) Long exposure for pretty sparkler trails

Hope you enjoyed the fireworks as much as I did!
