A very special announcement

I know I promised that my 100th post would be filled with a whole host of finished projects and a giveaway but something came up before I had a chance to post it. So, I’m thrilled to present for my 100th post our extra special “finished project” which was “completed” on Sunday night.

Erica and Greer

Bob and I together with Findlay, Nairn and Erica are thrilled to announce that our daughter Greer was delivered safely at 7.35pm on Sunday 17th May weighing a healthy 7lb 11oz. We’re all absolutely spectacularly well and delighted with the new little addition to our family.

Don’t you forget about me

I am a terrible blogger, I know. I am so determined to have this updated a couple of times a week and life is just getting in my way right now. I’m still here, still reading all of your blogs and trying to comment. I’m just not managing to do the same here!

There are three reasons for this. The first, the children have been ill for nearly a month now – first with chicken pox and subsequently with complications arising from that. As a result I’m trying to keep them busier during the day so they’ll sleep deeply at night so by 8pm I’m absolutely exhausted! In addition to that, last week was a very hectic one work-wise for me but this will only be an issue for the next four weeks as I finish my job at the end of October and am taking a few months off to recover.

The third reason can also tie back into the first two, as really I’m just exhausted at the moment. Compounding this constant feeling of tiredness is a semi-constant feeling of nausea. I have not got morning sickness – I have the dreaded all-day-and-all-night sickness as Bob and I are expecting another baby. It’s news that I’ve held off on sharing after our loss earlier in the year but we’ve now had a scan to show that everything is looking good. We return on the 20th October for another scan to make sure that everything is progressing the way it should but it’s really a lot more promising than last time and the constant nausea is proving to be quite reassuring.

I will be back later this week, hopefully with an update on where I am with the PIF exchange (I have been working on this lots!) and perhaps with a cake or two. In the meantime you can catch my micro updates on the blog-affiliated Twitter.
