I enjoyed your story I must say though that the fact that they bugger off and decide they don’t want to live with you anymore is exactly why I’m a dog person. I don’t like being dumped (though Fletcher at this minute is whinging and testing my patience)!

I love both cats and dogs.. I grew up on farms, a pear orchard (I hate pears now), and have had all sorts.. my parents have um 6 dogs.. all charity cases in some way or another and 4 cats.. we only have two cats here, Starbuck who is old fat and slightly of the basement variety and Alys who is 2 is lovely, grey and came from a tea shop in wales.. I would have a dog but I don’t think its right to have a dog and then to go on big holidays to visit my parents.. as it is H fell in love with Frankie a little dashound that my parents rescued from the snow and she pined for weeks after we went home (she kept looking for him, bless) ..

I would love a little calico kitten though.. M says no but I know if I got ahold of one and brought it into the house he would fall in love with her..

Awww that’s a shame Monica, although I bet your dog gives you loads more cuddles (and less scratches!) than our daft cats do!

I love guinea pigs too but Bob says we have too many pets so I’m not allowed

Hello I enjoyed your post so much and decided to leave a comment, I adore dogs, cats, guinea pigs you name it, if they have fur and they are cuddly I love them. However no matter how much I would love a cat our 6 year old german shepard hates them so we can’t have one, and this is one of my biggest regrets in life, that we didnt get a kitten at the same time we got the dog. What a chequered kitty life you’ve had! My parents used to breed evil Persians, I had a brief stint as the owner of two morbidly obese rescued cats and as much as I like kittens, unfortunately they grow up to cats so I shouldn’t have one…
