Recently I read this post and OH MY GOODNESS how much do I want that elephant?! It’s a pattern from a book called Softies Kit by Therese Laskey and I am sorely tempted to buy it. Except… I don’t make toys, really. And I can’t justify £11 on a book that I’m buying for ONE pattern. So I’m turning to you trusty lot – do any of you own this book? Would you recommend it?
Seriously. That elephant has been on my mind for weeks. Upon flicking through my sewing magazines I discovered that I have a pattern for a hippo and I’m sure with a little nip and tuck I could make an elephant but Jempins doing such a lovely job on her elephant has made me want THAT ONE. Total spoilt brat alert.

Oh so much but Hugh Jackman is my current want. Also want a kitchen gadget like you, I need a kenwood prospero a lot. Just been watching yankee candles on telly and an endless supply of them would be fab. The thing I want most of all is not to have to eat gluten free. 40 years and I am still not happy about it so I am coverting a `normal digestive system`
I can’t help with the blender and don’t have many beautiful men in my cupboards (and if I did, I wouldn’t be sharing) but I do have a softie book and it has a very similar elephant pattern in, I could maybe get my beautiful husband to photocopy it at work for you next week and bung it in the post? Try the library for that pattern book – I had the same deliberation over a knitting pattern book I only wanted one pattern from and I managed to get it from my local library! It’s worth a try! I love that elephant too…
