Who or what is blottedcopybook?
That would be me! My name is Vonnie, I am in my twenties and married to Bob. We live in a house 10 miles from Glasgow in Scotland with our three four children and assorted pets including a couple of turkeys (ate them), a few chickens, some quail and somewhere between 1-4 cats.
My children were anonymous on here for a long time, so older posts will refer to the eldest three as F, N and The Baby. Their names are Findlay (an 8 year old boy), Nairn (a 3 year old boy), Erica (a 2 year old girl) and Greer (our youngest daughter who was born in May this year). Yes, those are small age gaps. No, it wasn’t planned as such. Yes, we have a TV.

So what is this blog about?
Basically I like tinkering with things. In the most part this will take the shape of either knitting or baking, but I do dabble in sewing and various other crafty endeavours which I like to catalogue so I can look back on it in time and remember what I’ve got up to. Very few of my ideas are original and I always try to link back to the source where I got my idea or pattern. I will also post a little about our drive towards partial self-sufficiency but in all honesty that is better served through my husband’s other blog which I sometimes guest on.
I will update this at a later date but in the meantime any questions can be either posted here or emailed to me at vonnie@blottedcopybook.co.uk where I promise I will reply.
