Well my sensible Christmas must have would be organisation to get my knitting done in time! But really Christmas isn't really Christmas without my mother's angel chimes (they look like this http://www.allthingsbright.com/angelchimes.html) on the table, tinging furiously.
I have found your blog via ravelry- lots of lovely things! Happy Christmas

Well my christmas must haves are my family and my greyhound (who is being joined by a new girl this year).D.D has just adopted one. So my red will have a friend this christmas. I love having all my family here and it is what really makes christmas. No recipes really to pass on as I am not a good cook and the whole family take a hand in it all. But I think perhaps this year it will be a very aromatic christmas as I have the dreaded flu, lost my voice and my wee granddaughter is going down with the same just now. So lots and lots of oil burners on the go....

Hope you have a good christmas and I am just finding my way around blogs. I have set up one but haven't a clue how to include it. I am tandemsandy on Ravelry tho.

I don't have many musthaves and I don't cook (if you ever tasted my cooking you would know why...lol)

One musthave is a real Christmas Tree. My mum always had this awful fake tree that I really hated.

Another is, matching decorations on the tree. I've never been fond of dumping everything on the tree and like mine to have a theme

Traditional Christmas dinner. Some people have started having other things for Christmas dinner, but I really look forward to sitting down with my family and having traditional Christmas dinner, turkey, roast potatoes, sproats, chestnuts, stuffing, gravy etc and I feel lost without my Christmas pudding so we always buy one in at home incase we don't have one at our family dinner.

My Christmas essential is a good breakfast and the peace and quiet to enjoy it. Loch Fyne Smoked Salmon, bagels and cream cheese with coffee and OJ. A little bit of calm before the madness begins!

My Christmas must-have: my famiy, being with all of them. My mom passed away in August, and I am determined that our first Christmas without her be as happy as possible for my dad.

My Christmas Essential? A walk in the hills - preferably in beautiful, frosty conditions. And then back home to a lovely dram. That's really all I need for Christmas.

My must have Christmas item is a camera. It is the one time that we are all together!

For a recipe, you should try Spinach Pie! http://www.miftik.com/food/2004/03/09/spinach-pie/

Must have for Xmas would have to be the lovely peace from the almost complete lack of traffic on the busy road at the end of the street. I usually don't notice the slight hum, but I love the lack of it on the 25th.

This year I'd also like 2.5 year old who sleeps in her own bed, but logistically that's not happening yet.

My must-have is pajamas! You can't possibly be expected to get dressed on Christmas day. I always get given new pajamas from one particular family member too, so tend to go from the pair I've worn overnight into a snuggly fresh new pair - slip on some fluffy slippers, wrap a warm blanket around me and ahh, bliss!
